Return to practice

For more information please contact emma.brailsford@healtheducationderbyshire.co.uk

We are keen to support qualified professionals across health and care including nurses and allied health professionals to return to practice. There are plenty of opportunities in Derby and Derbyshire and organisations who can support individuals returning to the workplace.

For further information on returning to practice, visit the Health Education England website. The Health Careers website has more information about the programme. You can also watch their video

The system in Derby and Derbyshire are encouraging healthcare professionals who have had a break in their career to return to practice.

The health service wants to see nurses, and allied health professionals come back to their health and social care careers – and is offering help with costs such as travel, childcare and books as well as free training.

The return to practice programme, led by Health Education England, supports the commitments made in the NHS Long Term Plan to recruit more people into the workforce and ensure staff have rewarding jobs and work in a positive culture.

HED are supporting UHDB’s return to nursing programme by hoping to facilitate placements and job opportunities within general practice. For more information please go to:
