Meet the MSK ambassador
Elizabeth is your FCP (MSK) Ambassador for Derbyshire.
Here to support your FCP (MSK) workforce, including individual clinicians, those in a team leading role, GP's and PCN's
We hope that this website will become a very useful resource with a local relevance to your services, facilitating the support that you need.
I have worked within the NHS since 2001, graduating from the University of Bradford in 2006 with a BSc Hons in Physiotherapy and more recently completed an MSc in Physiotherapy at the University of Nottingham. I am currently continuing my studies with the University of Sheffield and I am working towards my ACP portfolio accreditation.
For the last 14 years I have worked within MSK services in Derbyshire. I currently work for Derbyshire Community Health Services as an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner; my role is split across MSK triage services and FCP provision in general practice. Within my current role I am a clinical supervisor and FCP supervisor. I am passionate about contributing towards the development of MSK roles and services within Derbyshire.
Outside of work I enjoy time with my family, keeping fit and being a swimming coach for a local club.

We are proud to announce that we will be running Derbyshire's first CARE Programme in October 2023!
What is CARE?
CARE is a learning and development programme that empowers primary healthcare professionals to play a key role within their primary care network, to shape services based on population health needs and to strengthen their leadership. Focusing on wellbeing and building and harnessing resilience, the programme connects primary care professionals and supports joined-up, multi-professional working.
The programme focuses on:
- Building personal resilience and wellbeing
- Improving understanding of population health
- Developing leadership for system impact
The CARE programme is suitable for all primary care colleagues (both clinical and non-clinical): GPs, Practice Managers, General Practice Nurses, Allied Health Professionals, and all additional roles.
You are invited to join the CARE Programme (mailchi.mp)
Can you help and participate on this survey ?
Dr Emma Salt and her colleagues require the active FCP (MSK) community to participate in a survey to learn about the potential application of digital clinical decision-making tools.

Decision support tools
Decision support tools, also called patient decision aids, support shared decision making by making treatment, care and support options explicit. They provide evidence-based information about the associated benefits/harms and help patients to consider what matters most to them in relation to the possible outcomes, including doing nothing.
